Coronavirus. Get prepared

Hello Green Alley Friends

Coronavirus. Get prepared. I have outlined some important steps, research and facts from scientists, doctors and researchers as of 3/14/20.
Incubation for flu is 2 days; for Covid-19 up to 23 days!

You may not see/feel symptoms for 23 days.
Fever, Sore Throat first, shortness of Breath and Dry Cough (Covid-19) vs Fever, Congestion, Runny Nose with basic flu
Covid-19 hates sun, is killed in 73degrees on a surface
Lives for up to 12 hours on a metal surface;6-12 hours on fabric; normal detergent kills virus
Can live for 5-10 mins on skin; wash w/ soap/water. Gargle with salt/warm water. Drink warm fluids to wash possible virus in throat into stomach where HCL kills it; otherwise virus in nasopharynx will be breathed into lungs if throat is dry (see below)l
James Robb, MD, professor of pathology at the UC San Diego, one of the first molecular virologists in the world to work on coronaviruses (the 1970s and has kept up with the coronavirus field and its multiple clinical transfers into the human population (e.g., SARS, MERS), from different animal sources. Recommends: Zinc lozenges have been proven effective in blocking coronavirus (not specifically Covid-19) and other viruses from multiplying in your throat and nasopharynx. Best to lie down and let dissolve in throat.

Tips from a Stanford University Hospital board member:
Taiwan experts provide a simple self-check that we can do every morning. Take a deep breath and hold your breath for more than 10 seconds. If you complete it successfully without coughing, without discomfort, stiffness or tightness, etc., it proves there is no Fibrosis in the lungs, basically indicates no infection. In critical time, please self-check every morning in an environment with clean air.

Tip of the Week
What’s the BEST way to protect yourself from Virus?
1. Boost your Immune System (food, vitamins)
2. Boost your Endocannabinoid System (CBD, Omega3s)
3. Boost your Vitamin D, A and C levels (D3+K2=5,000IU/day; Vit C 1,000mg 2xday;)
4. Boost your omega 3 (DHA & EPA) levels (2,000-5,000mg/day)
5. Sneeze into your elbow/Don’t touch face (impossible!)
6. Wash your hands with soap for 20 seconds (antibacterial sanitizer is not anti viral; use 70%+ alcohol-based sanitizer)
7. Cut down on sugar and carb intake as the coronavirus and other viruses are thought to feed off the glucose in our cells
8. Get extra sleep, reduce stress. Get more sunshine and nature and keep connected(while practicing social distancing)
9. KEEP HYDRATED! Drink lots of water and if not absorbing, then add electrolytes/trace minerals = coconut water, watermelon

FOODS THAT BOOST VITAMIN LEVELS AND PROTECT AGAINST VIRUS & DISEASE
Several nutrients are known to be integral in immune function. Vitamins C and D possess strong immune-supportive properties, while vitamin A and zinc are required for the development and function of immune cells. A variety of herbs and botanicals also support antibody and immune cell activity, with many displaying the ability to help lessen the severity and duration of bacterial and viral infections. Mushrooms and their active compounds boast potent immunomodulatory capacity.
Vitamin C: Important immune function: Bell peppers, lemons, green leafy vegetables, berries, oranges, papayas, strawberries, broccoli, sauerkraut;
Vitamin D-Protects against, and kills pathogens (supplement must have K2 in it also); Salmon, fatty fish, egg yolk, cheese, mushrooms
Vitamin A- Strengthens mucosal tissues; found in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, cod liver oil, egg yolk, butter; no recommended supplement
Zinc –The most important trace mineral for immunity; Supports T cells, anti-viral seafood, pumpkin seed, sea vegetables, and beans, lentils and legumes
Garlic- Kills off virus, bacteria, pathogens and mold
Colloidal Silver – kills viruses by starving the O2 supply
CBD – Cannabis had been shown to be effective against the Ebola virus and HIV. CBD, particularly has been shown to modulate the immune system – which makes sense since most of the CBD receptors are in the immune cells.
Other studies have shown that regular cannabis use can increase white blood cell counts in immunodeficiency disorders such as HIV, suggesting an immune-boosting effect. Scientists believe the endocannabinoid system interacts with all biological activity, including our immune system.

In a study conducted by researchers at universities in Virginia and Florida, CD4 and CD8 white blood cell counts were compared in a sample of 95 HIV patients, some of whom were chronic cannabis users.8 Scientists discovered that both types of infection-fighting immune counts were higher in patients using cannabis, suggesting their immune systems had been bolstered by the plant.
We also know that CBD and Omega 3s (DHA/EPA) boost the Endocannabinoid System, which modulates the Immune System = it’s all connected!

Omega 3 Fatty Acids create a bi lipid layer in each cell to protect it from viral insult. Low fat diet leads to pathogen susceptibility; Salmon/anchovy/herring/sardines/mackerel/Avocado/nuts/DHA & EPA. DHA/EPA also convert into CBD in the body – it’s all connected!
Extra Virgin Olive Oil –not anti viral, but high antioxidants, Omega 3’s, vitamin A.

Endocannabinoid receptors in immune system
Endocannabinoids are believed to control immune functions and play a role in immune homeostasis. Immune cells express both CB1 and CB2 receptors, secrete endocannabinoids and have functional cannabinoid transport and breakdown mechanisms [15,16].Apr 7, 2009
